Greg Grieve Research Presentation Award

The MACP research strategy identifies the need to promote the dissemination of research findings in the field of neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy. The Greg Grieve Research Presentation Award provides financial and practical assistance to encourage members to present their research at conferences and publish their work in relevant journals.

Criteria for Applications

Applicants must be full members of the MACP.

Review of Applications

  • Applications will be judged by the research committee.

  • Applicants will be notified in writing within 6 weeks of the submission deadline.

  • The results will be announced at the AGM, where successful applicants (or nominated representatives) will be presented with their awards.

Conditions of the Award

  • Any publications, posters, or press releases that relate to work supported by the award must acknowledge the MACP.

  • If the above condition (4.1) is not met the applicant will normally be expected to reimburse the MACP for full amount of the award.

Application Procedure

Applicants should include the following information in their application:

  • Name, current occupational status and address, MACP number.

  • Brief CV of applicant (not > 2 sides of A4).

  • Title, dates and location of the conference/meeting.

  • Status of the applicant at the conference/meeting e.g. delivering a paper, presenting a poster (evidence of acceptance of the abstract should be included where available).

  • Abstract as submitted to the conference or meeting.

  • Details of cost of attendance at the conference/meeting itemizing conference fees, travel, and accommodation.

  • Details and outcome of any other funding applied for (please state expected date of notification if appropriate)

Payment of Monies

Monies will only be paid once confirmation of acceptance and attendance at the conference/meeting has been received.

Value: Up to £1000 x 1 award per year
