Name change

Name Change.........
Following the extensive consultation with members the vote was passed to apply to the CSP to change the "M" in MACP to Musculoskeletal. This was passed shortly before the CSP announced that it would be changing the whole set up regarding clinical interest groups. There has been a proposal to call the professional network that we are involved with the Neuromusculoskeletal network. The CSP are currently considering this. If this goes through it is likely that we will be able to change our name as we have requested. Watch this space........

IFOMT bid committee holds first meeting

IFOMT bid committee holds first meeting...........
The MACP are hoping to host the 2016 IFOMT conference her in the UK. The bid committee held their first meeting recently to get the ball rolling. They must present their bid at the 2012 congress in Quebec. If you can be of any assistance please contact the committee via admin@macpweb.org

MACP Bursaries for members

Dear Member,

We would like to remind you of the many bursary and funding opportunities available this year.

If you are presenting at a conference, you should consider applying for;

- Greg Grieve Presentation Award for up to £1000 - closing date 31/03/11

- Elsevier Presentation Award for up to £500 - closing date 31/08/11

- IFOMT Presentation Award for up to £1000 - closing date 30/12/11

 

If you are undertaking a research project, you should consider applying for;

- Elsevier Research Award for up to £2000 - closing date 31/05/11

- Small Project Grant for up to £500 - closing date 29/07/11

 

Doctoral students should consider applying for the doctoral award.

This award is for up to £2000 and the closing date is 29/04/11

 

Don't forget the new clinical award!

The Maitland Fellowship Award is to fund / part-fund additional training such as a visit to a clinical centre / institution of excellence either in the UK or abroad.

This award is for up to £2000 and the closing date is 29/07/11.
