Reciprocal Recognition update5th Nov 2012 Reciprocal Recognition update.............
During IFOMPT meetings in Quebec this October, the IFOMPT executive committee announced that they were not now looking to pursue reciprocal recognition between all member organisations. The committee confirmed that member organization were free to reach individual agreements regarding reciprocal recognition. The MACP executive committee is currently negotiating with the Irish and New Zealand member organisations. MACP members may be aware that we have previously approached the Manipulative Physiotherapy Association of Australia regarding reciprocal recognition but that, due to barriers from the Association of Physiotherapy in Australia, this has not been possible. The MACP are therefore not looking at unilateral recognition of members of the Manipulative Physiotherapy Association of Australia. We look forward to updating on this issue.
