MACP Communcations Officer, Uzo Ehiogu

Uzo is the Clinical Director of Physiotherapy and Occupational at London Bridge Hospital.

Uzo is a former Commando and Physiotherapy Officer in the British Army. He has done two tours of Afghanistan and worked within the Army as a Rehabilitation Officer at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He has also worked as a physiotherapist at the Defense Medical Rehabilitation Centre Headley Court treating injured service personnel with complexed poly trauma. Uzo also has experience working within the NHS and has worked for West Ham football club as the Youth Team Physiotherapist.

Uzo has a Bachelor of Applied Sports Science and Physiotherapy. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (USA) and has been a fitness professional for over 16 years. He has a clinical interest in extreme sports and spinal movement dysfunction and this spurred him into doing a Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy Master's Degree at Brighton University. Simultaneously he has been working at London Bridge as a Clinical Specialist. He has set up a Spinal Therapy Unit. This unit specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal and hip related musculoskeletal conditions along side consultants.

Uzo is passionate about patient centred care and the delivery of quality in healthcare. He is keen advocate for developing marketing and brand awareness opportunities for physiotherapists in a challenging healthcare market. When Uzo is not reading about physiotherapy or marketing you will find him at the gym, a climbing wall or baking cakes with his daughters.
