Are you mystified by myeloma screens, annoyed by ANA or exasperated by when to do an ESR?

This is a course designed for any healthcare practioner assessing and managing patients with persistent back pain, peripheral joint and tendon problems. This includes APs, FCPs, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, GPs and University Clincial Educators.

This will be a full day course designed to develop knowlege and skills on how to recognise and when to refer to Rheumatology for suspected axial and peripheral spondyloarthritis, enabling clincians to reduce delays in diagnosis.

All course places must be booked through the website and paid for by card. There is no facility for later payment. It is up to the individual delegate to reclaim course fees from their employer.

Speaker Carol McCrum

Carol is a Consultant Physiotherapist in Rheumatology and Orthopaedics. She is a NICEFellow who is involved in international projects to
improve pathways, and high-quality care in Rheumatology. She has delivered this workshop inthe UK since 2018 to support earlier diagnosis forpeople with axial and peripheral spondyloarthritis.She works at Canberra Hospital, Rheumatology Department, ACT. Carol completed her doctoratein acute low back pain (2011) and is a visitingResearch Fellow at University of Brighton. She remains active in research, publication, and knowledge translation.
