There are 3 routes to gaining full membership of the MACP. Please select your preferred route to continue.
The MACP is the member organisation (MO) of IFOMPT for the UK. The MACP welcomes applications from individuals who are current members, in good standing, of any full member organisation of IFOMPT. Applications from individuals who are members of an IFOMPT Registered Interest Groups (RIG) are not eligible to apply.
Benefits of MACP membership can be found here.
It is anticipated that applicants have a valid reason for application e.g. working/teaching/researching within the UK or planning to do so in the near future. This information will be required as part of the application process. The onus is on the applicant to provide definitive adequate evidence with their application, which must include;
- Name of MO
- Evidence of membership e.g. certificate of membership,
- A signed letter of support from either your MO administrator, Chair or Secretary
Any additional evidence that the applicant deems relevant to support their application should be included. The MACP reserves the right to request further evidence in support of any application to ensure only eligible individuals receive Reciprocal Recognition. The MACP also reserves the right to deny a request for recognition should inadequate information be provided and all decisions are final.
Applications must be made electronically with all relevant documentation attached as PDF scans or similar. Included in the submission must be a signed letter from either your MO administrator, Chair or Secretary supporting your application and confirming that you are a current member of their MO.
The cost of application to join the MACP through the Reciprocal Recognition scheme is £55 (Pounds sterling). This is payable at the time of application.
Applicants who are successful will then be required to pay the full subscription of £80 per year, ideally, by Direct Debit. The first year of membership will be prorated as appropriate.
The MACP has strived to make this a streamlined process in order to keep application costs low. Therefore the MACP reserves the right to charge an additional administration fee of £25 should additional evidence need to be requested or further reviews of an application are necessary.
