Touchnote April 2020 - IFOMPT Conference postponement until September 2022

The IFOMPT Executive alongside the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) on behalf of its member group and member organisation of IFOMPT, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Association (MPA) have been closely monitoring the COVID – 19 outbreak worldwide in relation to the IFOMPT 2020 conference, scheduled to take place in Melbourne, Australia on 6 – 8 October 2020.

Given that the situation has now rapidly evolved in Australia in line with the experiences in the rest of the world, combined with the health, societal and economic impact of the pandemic worldwide, we have decided to postpone the IFOMPT conference until Monday 19 – Wednesday 21 September, 2022.

The work that has already been done in planning for the IFOMPT conference will be transferred to 2022. Further details will be communicated directly with all invited speakers and accepted abstract presenters once the Scientific Committee has met.

We will be in contact with all registered delegates as well as exhibitors and sponsors regarding the arrangements for IFOMPT 2022. Full refunds will be available on application.

Further information about new dates, abstract submissions, registration and accommodation will be provided via email and the website in due course.

The MACP will support its members when the call for abstracts is released.
