Isaak is a highly trained physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, an independent researcher and an accredited clinical mentor for the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). He is a visiting lecturer at the University of Birmingham since 2013, teaching Manipulative Physiotherapy in postgraduate programmes. His research is focused on spinal conditions and exercise prescription (whiplash injury, chronic neck pain & thoracic spine), developing assessment methods (vibration testing in early neuropathies), and developing teaching tools for physiotherapy students (dynamometer-assisted mobilisations). He has publications in several renowned journals including Manual Therapy, Physiotherapy, British Medical Journal and PLoS ONE. He has presented his work at national and international conferences and received awards from the MACP, Elsevier, and the CSP. Also, Isaak has extensive experience in sports rehabilitation having started his career as the lead sports physiotherapist at Greece’s open water swimming department. He has a special interest in performing arts medicine and is registered with the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM) since 2016. Being a musician himself, Isaak is one of the few physiotherapists in the country possessing a combination of clinical and musical knowledge which has proven to be an asset in rehabilitating performance-related injuries.
