New Portfolio Routes to Membership

The MACP is excited to launch the NEW Portfolio Routes, which offer three new transformative paths for MSK physiotherapists of different experience and background, to become a full MACP Member. 

By completing the MACP portfolio, it is a demonstration of quality assurance and accreditation of your MSK practice at Advanced Practice level, which ensures the highest standards of practice recognised both nationally and internationally.

1.  Quality and Governance Assurance

By completing the portfolio route, you would be demonstrating evidence of your capabilities that would offer your employers a measure of quality assurance at advanced practice

2.  Advanced Practice Accreditation

The webinar introduced the three routes within the webinar, outlining eligibility and what to expect from the process. There was also a live Q&A as part of the webinar on the night. 

The 3 Pathways

In recognition of different levels of attainment, there are three potential pathways:

Route 1

For professionals that do not have a post-registration MSc 

Route 2

For professionals, typically less than 10-years’ experience, with an MSc (to have included 150 mentored clinical practice)

Route 3

For experienced advanced MSK professionals, typically more than 10-years’ experience with an MSc
